On June 18, 2010, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug
Unit arrested Darrick Andrew Walter, 21 years of age, of 354 Great Gut Road in
Washington, Blaklee Renn Wolfe, 18 years of age, of 102 Honey Pod Farm Road in
Washington and Justin Ryan King, 27 years of age, of 4029 Hwy. 171 in
Washington. Walter was
charged with three (3) counts of
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, four (4) counts of
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and
Possession of Marijuana. Blaklee was
charged with Possession with Intent to
Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia. King was
charged with Possession of Marijuana and
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Their
arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of marijuana from Walter and
Wolfe. Investigators served arrest
warrants on Walter and Wolfe at King’s residence. Investigators smelled on odor of marijuana
inside King’s residence. Investigators
conducted a search of King’s residence and found a small quantity of marijuana. Walter was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $20,300.00 secured
bond. Wolfe was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000.00 secured
bond. King was
confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $3,000.00 secured
bond.

On June 9, 2010, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug
Unit arrested Toby James Rascoe Jr., 21 years of age, of 120B Albemarle Drive
in Plymouth and Antoine Dewarren Purvis, 25 years of age, of 55 Mackeys Road in
Plymouth. They were charged Possession
with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, Trafficking in Opium and Carrying a
Concealed Gun. Their arrest stemmed from Investigators searching a vehicle that they were operating. Investigators found a book bag in the passenger floorboard that contained a Highpoint 9mm Pistol, 47 grams of marijuana, plastic baggies, a set of digital scales and a plastic bag containing 13 Percocets. On June 16, 2010, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit
served arrest warrants on Stephon Orlando Moore, 28 years of age, of 810 West 8th
Street in Washington. Moore was charged
with two (2) counts of Possession with
Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine. Moore’s
arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of crack cocaine from Moore. Moore was confined in the Beaufort County

On January 28, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report that a break-in had occurred at a residence in the Pinetown
area of Beaufort County. The Sheriff’s
Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews. On June 25, 2010, Investigator Rob
Voliva applied for and obtained warrants charging Daniel Paul Padilla, age 19, of Goose Creek Drive in Washington,
North Carolina and Robert Carrington
Moore, age 18, of Fox Catcher Drive in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with
one felony count each of Breaking and
Entering and one felony count each of Larceny
After Break/Enter. Padilla and Moore
turned themselves in at the Beaufort County Magistrate’s Office on June 26th. They were held in the Beaufort County

On June 04, 2010, and June 07, 2010,
Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest
warrants on Dallas Spain, 24 years of age, of 93 Plum Drive in Washington,
Crystal Keatts, 27 years of age, of 93 Plum Drive in Washington, Alex Spain, 22
years of age, of 46 Popular Street in Washington, Billy Adams, 37 years of age,
of 384 Spainville Drive in Washington and Brandon Scott Davenport, 22 years of
age, of 129 Doe Run in Washington . They were
charged with multiple counts of Dog
Fighting. Their arrest stemmed from
Investigators executing a Drug Search Warrant at 93 Plum Drive in Washington on
May 27, 2010. Investigators found videos
and pictures of dog fighting and dogs being trained to fight. Dallas Spain, Alex Spain, Crystal Keatts,
Billy Adams and Brandon Davenport are in the videos instigating and
participating as a spectator during the dog fights. Investigators
and Animal Control seized four Pitt Bulls from Dallas Spain, Alex Spain and
Crystal Keatts. Two of the Pitt Bulls
were the same Pitt Bulls in the videos and pictures that were seized from 93

On September 1, 2009,
the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of Fraud that involved
the unauthorized passing of checks. The
Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, reviewed evidence, and conducted
interviews. On
February 23, 2010, Investigator Jim Martin submitted the case to the Beaufort
County District Attorney’s Office for review.
The case was sent to the Grand Jury for indictment consideration. On
May 10, 2010, a Beaufort County Grand Jury returned a True Bills of Indictment
in the case and issued six Orders for Arrest for Donna Ree Alligood, age55, of Forest Heights Road in Washington. Alligood was charged with twelve counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. Alligood turned herself in to the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office on June 8, 2010. Alligood was released on a $25,000.00

On February 24, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred on
Cherry Run Road in Washington, NC. The
Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation and conducted interviews. On May 28, 2010, Investigator Rob Voliva applied for and obtained a warrant charging Jaquay Omestic Hill, age 20, of Cherry Run Road in Washington with Felony Breaking and Entering and Larceny After Breaking and Entering. Hill turned himself in at the Beaufort County Magistrate’s Office on June 9, 2010. He was brought before Magistrate Curtis and released on a $1,000.00 unsecured bond. On July 6, 2009, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office
received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny at a home on Vreugdenhil
Road in Pantego, NC. The Sheriff’s
Office began an investigation and collected evidence at the scene. Several collected items were later submitted
to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab in Raleigh. On June 7,
2010, Deputy Dwight Williams applied for and received a warrant charging Wendy Masters Smith, age 43, of
Vreugdenhil Road with Felony Breaking
and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.
The warrant was based on the results of the Crime Lab analysis of
DNA evidence. Smith turned herself in on June 8th, and
was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on a $15,000.00 secured bond

On June 7, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received
a report that a child under the age of sixteen had been sexually assaulted by
an older male suspect. The Sheriff’s
Office began and investigation in cooperation with the Department of Social
Services. During the investigation, a
second victim was discovered. As a result of the evidence gathered
during the investigation, Lieutenant Jamie Cahoon applied for and obtained a
warrant charging Roberto Chavez Garcia,
age 37, of Ricks Street in Washington, North Carolina with three counts of Statutory Rape of a 13, 14, or 15 Year Old
by a Defendant Who Is at Least Six Years Older Than the Victim, three
counts of First Degree Statutory Sexual
Offense, and one count of Indecent
Liberties with a Child. Garcia was arrested on June 7th
and transported to the Magistrate’s Office where he was held in the Beaufort
County Detention Center on a $50,000 secured bond set by Magistrate D. Sadler. On June 8, 2010, Garcia’s bond was increased
by District Court Judge Paul to $250,000 secured. Additional charges are possible against

On April 14, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a Breaking and Entering and Larceny that occurred on Sandpointe Drive in Washington, NC. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews. As a result of the investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained warrants charging Jodeci Boomer, age 17, of Sandpointe Drive in Washington; , age 16, of Camel Drive in Washington; and Stephen Moore, age 21, of Magnolia School Road in Washington with one(1) count each of Felony Breaking and Entering and one(1) count each of Felony Larceny. Moore turned himself in on May 20th and was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Smith. Collins was served in the Beaufort County Detention Center and held under an additional $2,500.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Mills. A Crime Stoppers tip led to Boomer’s arrest on June 8th. On June 02, 2010, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug
Unit arrested Terrance Guilford, 30 years of age, of 418 Water Street in
Washington and Jesse Laster, 27 years of age, of 78 Harvey’s Hamlet Road in
Washington. Terrance
Guilford was charged with six (6) counts
of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, two (2) counts of
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug
Paraphernalia. Jesse Laster was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver
Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Carrying a Concealed Gun. Their
arrest stemmed from Investigator making purchases of crack cocaine and
marijuana from Guilford. Investigators
witnessed Guilford riding in the passenger seat of vehicle that Laster was
operating. Investigators approached the
vehicle that Laster was operating and arrested Guilford. Investigators and K-9 Elza searched the
vehicle and found five grams of crack cocaine.
Investigators searched Laster and found a .38 caliber pistol hidden in

On June 07, 2010, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit served arrest warrants on Derron White, 22 years of age, of 1311 Highland Drive in Washington. White was charged with five (5) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Whites’ arrest stemmed from Investigators making purchases of crack cocaine from White. White was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $30,000.00 secured bond. On May 27, 2010, Investigators with the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit executed a Search Warrant at 93 Plum
Drive in Washington and 46 Popular Street in Washington. Investigators and Canine Elza found a total
of 100 grams of marijuana, digital scales, marijuana smoking pipes and plastic
bags used to package marijuana. Investigators
arrested Dallas Spain, 24 years of age, of 93 Plum Drive in Washington, Crystal
Keatts, 27 years of age, of 93 Plum Drive in Washington, Alex Spain, 22 years of
age, of 46 Popular Street in Washington and Samantha Mobley, 20 years of age,
of 46 Popular Street in Washington. Dallas Spain and Crystal Keatts were charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Alex Spain was charged with two (2) counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Samantha Mobley was charged with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dallas Spain was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $1,000.00 secured bond. Crystal Keatts was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center $500.00 secured bond. Alex Spain
was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $6,000.00 secured
bond. Samantha Mobley was confined the

On May 26, 2010, Deputies with
the Patrol Division at the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to an
assault in progress on Plum Drive. Upon
arrival, Corporal Landeck located an unconscious male that had suffered serious
head trauma. The victim was
transported to Pungo District Hospital and later airlifted to Pitt Memorial
Hospital. The Sheriff’s Office began an
investigation, collected evidence, and conducted interviews. As a result
of the investigation, Investigator Ernest Moore applied for and obtained
warrants charging Zachary Burbage,
age 21, of Highway 264 East in Pinetown, NC with one(1) count of Assault
With a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
A Crime Stoppers tip led to Burbage’s arrest on June 3rd. He was held in the Beaufort County Detention

On May 29, 2010 at
approximately 5:00 p.m., Sgt. Kasey Neal with the Patrol Division of the
Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling the area of Brick Kiln and
River Road in Washington. Sgt. Neal
observed a vehicle being operated by a subject that did not possess a valid
driver’s license. Sgt. Neal performed a
traffic stop on the vehicle and detected the odor of marijuana. During a search of the car, Sgt. Neal
recovered digital scales and a plastic bag containing a white powdery substance
believed to be cocaine. The scales and
powdery substance were hidden in fast food containers in the passenger
area. Bagged marijuana was recovered
from the trunk of the car and from the driver’s crotch. As a result, Sgt. Neal arrested Terrence Latory Whitney, age 31, of
Pine Street in Pantego, NC and charged him with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of > ½ but < 1½ oz of Marijuana,
and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Whitney was held in the Beaufort County

2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an domestic assault
at a residence on Jacks Street in Washington, NC. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation
and conducted interviews. On May 24, 2010, Investigator Wesley Waters
applied for and obtained warrants charging Luis
Enrique Monter Pere, age 16, of Jasper Lane in Washington, NC with one count
of Assault by Strangulation. Luis Pere is described as a hispanic male
approximately 5’ 5” tall and approximately 160 lbs with black hair and brown

The company reported that an employee sold road construction material without permission. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and conducted interviews. On May 21, 2010, Investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained warrants charging Kevin Lee Davis, age 44, of Burleson Road in Albemarle, NC with six counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. On February 11, 2010, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of suspicious fire at an abandoned house on Pollard Road in Chocowinity, NC. The Sheriff’s Office began an investigation and conducted several interviews. On May 21, 2010, Investigator Wesley Waters applied for and obtained warrants charging Bobby Gene Wadford III, age 16, of Pollard Road in Chocowinity, NC with one count of Burning Certain Buildings. A Juvenile Petition was also obtained on a juvenile suspect for one count of Burning Certain Building. On May 26, 2010, Bobby Wadford was arrested by Patrol Deputies and held in the Beaufort County Detention Center on $5,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate D. Sadler.
